Summary:PURPOSE:To perform fault analysis with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:The fault message comprising the fault data from each ECU and the specified identification codes is transmitted from a transmitting means provided in an automobile 12 as the radio signal of a weak radio wave. The transmitted signal from the automobile 12 in each receiving area is received with each receiving station 11. The fault message is transmitted from the receiving station 11 to a service factory 14 through a telephone circuit 13. The specification of the user of the automobile 12 and the diagnosis of the content of the fault are performed with a terminal unit. Therefore, the conventional large expensive personal radio is not required as the apparatus, which is mounted on the automobile 12. The compact and inexpensive constitution is provided. The fault, which cannot be recognized by the user, can be predicted on the side of the terminal unit.
