Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the lubricant for wire feeding and drawing for which a fluorocarbon solvent is not used. CONSTITUTION:This lubricant is prepd. by dispersing polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) of 0.5 to 40mum particle sizes into an aq. PTFE dispersion having PTFE of 0.1 to 0.4mum particle sizes. The particle sizes of the PTFE to be dispersed are further preferably 0.5 to 20mum. A binder of a resin emulsion type is preferably added to the lubricant in order to improve the bondability of the PTFE. An electrostatic spray coating method is preferably adopted in addition to a dip coating method for the coating method if the uniform coating of the wire surface is particularly required. The addition of an adequate surfactant to a coating liquid is effective as well.
