Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the title coil, which has excellent linearity and leakage flux of which is reduced, by mounting two coil bobbins having large and small different radii set up concentrically and cylindrically, a magnetic field forming section wound on the coil bobbin having the small radius and a return path section wound on the coil bobbin having the large radius. CONSTITUTION:Two coil bobbins 5, 5 being fitted concentrically and cylindrically and having large and small different radii, a magnetic field forming section 2 wound on the coil bobbin 4 having the small radius, and a return path section 3 wound on the coil bobbin 5 having the large radius are installed, thus constituting a transverse-gradient magnetic-field generating coil 7 generating a uniform gradient magnetic field. The patterns (A) 2 and the patterns (B) 3 consisting of a plurality of windings manufactured through etching or sticking, etc., onto the planes of insulators of copper wires are connected at each opening end, and spiral coil patterns are shaped. Four patterns (R) 3 are set up to the bobbin (B) 5 having a radius RL, and the bobbin (A) 4, to which four patterns (A) 2 are formed and which has a radius RS, is held concentrically into the bobbin (B) 5, thus constituting the gradient magnetic-field coil 7. |
