Summary:PURPOSE:To provide easy driving operation, by calculating a vehicle speed from revolutions of a main motor or a wheel, and correcting a speed-deviation and torque pattern according to the running resistance or resistance at a slope or a winding part to eliminate a deviation from a target speed. CONSTITUTION:A main circuit unit 2 controls a current collected from a trolley through a current collector 1 and a main motor 3 is driven and rotated to drive an electric vehicle. An actual speed of the electric vehicle is detected from the main motor 3 or by using a revolution detector 4 coupled with the main motor 3. A comparator 6 calculates a difference between the actual speed and a speed instruction preset by a driving instruction unit 5. The main circuit control unit 7 controls the main circuit unit 2 by using the data stored in the comparator 6 to compensate running resistance corresponding to the running speed and acceleration or deceleration caused by the running resistance at a slope or a winding part. Consequently, a difference between a target speed and an actual speed can be reduced to zero, and the driving operation can be made easy.
