PURPOSE:To provide a lighting device integrated with a ballast and an inverter adaptable to the discharge lamp headlight of an automobile by arranging two or more faces of the lighting device in contact with a washer tank. CONSTITUTION:A recess 5b is formed on a washer tank 5 so that at least two or more faces of a lighting device 2 are brought into contact with the wall face of its case 5a. The recess 5b is formed into such depth that the upper face of the lighting device 2 is located below the upper face of the recess 5b when the lighting device 2 is inserted. At least two or more faces of the lighting device 2 are kept in contact with a cleaning liquid 6 via the case 5a of the washer tank 5, efficient cooling is performed, and the thermal breakage of a semiconductor element provided in the lighting device 2 is prevented. The cleaning liquid 6 is stirred due to the convection by the temperature rise and the vibration during a travel, the further improvement of efficiency can be expected, and the temperature rise to the boiling point or above of the cleaning liquid 6 can be prevented.
