Summary:PURPOSE:To damp the rolling of a gondola with high effect. CONSTITUTION:A ropeway is constituted by stretching a steel wire 1 between prescribed two points and hanging a gondola body 2b from a prescribed position A of the steel wire 1 through a towing part 2a which is a part of gondola 2. The gondola 2 is provided with a gondola body 2b which is a box-shaped lifting cage for passengers and where four branched legs at the lower part of the towing part 2a are fixed integratedly at four positions in four corners of the upper surface of a ceiling part. Two gyro devices J for damping are installed on the upper surface of the ceiling part of the gondola body 2b. When the gondola 2 is swung by lateral wind or the like, the gyro device J generates damping moment in the opposite direction to the swinging direction of the gondola.
