Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide an EL element of high reliability by mixing inorganic particulates or resin particulates, having water-vapor permeability lower than seal resin, with the seal resin. CONSTITUTION:An ITO electrode 2 is formed by a sputter in glass substrate 1, and a ZnS phosphor is decomposed in cyanoethylation polyvinyl alcohol to print a light emitting layer 3. Barium titanate powder is dispersed in the cyanoethylation polyvinyl alcohol to form a reflection insulating layer 3. Ag paste is printed to pile a back plate 5. As seal resin 7, silica powder of 1mum mean grain size is mixed by about 20% volume, dispersed in thermo-setting epoxy resin of about 60g/m .24hr moisture permeability of reacting on a potential setting agent and applied to a peripheral edge part of the substrate 1. As a result, moisture resistance is improved by reducing an amount and a speed of water, permeating the seal resin 7, to obtain an EL element of long life. |
