Summary: | PURPOSE:To minimize the irregularities of grain size and specific gravity and remove damaged hollow particles by further classifying hollow particles consisting of quartz glass classified by using a specific gravity classification technique after the classification of the particles with an air classification technique. CONSTITUTION:Particles of micro-diameter which are present in a mixed state with hollow particles are of an insufficiently foamed grade and a damaged grade so that their specific gravity is high. Therefore, such particles are classified using an air classification technique, and then the particles thus classified are further classified using a specific gravity classification technique by which it enables to classify by the degree of specific gravity. Subsequently, these particles of micro-diameter can be cut to the specified grain size. Therefore, it is possible to obtain hollow particles of uniform grain size and specific gravity, and if a multi-layer ceramic circuit substrate is formed, a multi-layer ceramic circuit substrate which demonstrates a low dielectric constant which influences on the propagation properties of signal and minimized irregularities of dielectric constant and mechanical strength can be stably obtained. |
