Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent an electronic component from being damaged due electrical discharge of static electricity to a terminal section of a control panel body which a control unit is attached to and removed from, by resiliently supporting an earth plate in a recess formed in the control panel body so as to discharge static electricity charged in the control unit to the earth. CONSTITUTION:Onboard electronic equipment such as a control panel for an onboard stereo-player or the like, is composed of a control panel body 1, and a control unit 3 removably attached to the control panel body 1. Further, the control panel body 1 is formed therein with a recess 11 in which the control unit 3 is fitted. An earth plate 5 is stored in the recess 11 so as to be resilient to the control panel body 1 by means of a coil spring 7-2, and is grounded to an earth pattern formed in the upper part of a substrate 8. With this arrangement, when the control unit 3 is fitted in the recess 11 in the control panel body 1, static electricity even charged in the control unit 3 is discharged to the earth plate 5, thereby it is possible to prevent discharge to a terminal section 9.
