Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in impact resistance and useful for an electric equipment, etc., by melt-blending a halogenated epoxy resin-based flame-retardant with an inorganic flame-retardant assistant and a coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by melt-blending (A) a halogenated epoxy resin-based flame-retardant such as a halogenated bisphenol A type epoxy resin with (B) preferably 10 to 40wt.% [based on component (A)] inorganic flame retardant assistant such as anitmony oxide and/or (C) preferably 0.5 to 5wt.% coupling agent such as a silane coupling agent (e.g. vinyl triethoxysilane). In addition, a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition can be obtained by blending this composition with a thermoplastic resin such as PS.
