PURPOSE:To easily and surely perform the position adjustment with a camera holder by allowing the center of rotation of a tilt swing control mechanism to coincide with that of a linear image pickup element to perform the tilt swing adjustment with less process and reducing the change of the distance from a line camera to a pickup object relatively to the change of the tilt swing to easily perform the position adjustment. CONSTITUTION:The tilt of the line camera can be changed with a center 1 of the tilt of the camera holder as the axis. The center 1 coincides with the light reception position of the linear image pickup element of the line camera. Thus, not only the position adjustment is simplified but also the variation of the distance between the object and the image and the iamge pickup position is reduced even if the tilt is changed. The tilt is fixed by two adjuster dials 4 attached to a supporting shaft 3 in the rear part of the camera holder. When the tilt angle is changed, one adjuster dial 4 is rotated and loosened to adjust the tilt angle of the line camera, and the other adjuster dial 4 is rotated to determine the holder position on the supporting shaft.
