Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the subject insect pest-controlling material capable of remarkably effectively sterilizing insect pests harmful to agricultural crops without environmental pollution and having an effect on reduction of insect pest density by supporting an insect pest growth inhibitor on a substrate of an insect pest-attracting color. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate composed of cloth, water-resistant paper, resin, rubber, glass, a plate, a net, etc., and having an insect pest-attracting color, i.e., yellow to blue, a juvenile hormone-active substance such as 4-phenoxyphenyl 2-(2-pyridyloxy)propyl ether or a chitin synthesis inhibitor such as 1-(4- chlorophenyl)-3-(2,6-difluorobenzoyl)urea respectively as an insect pest growth inhibitor is supported according to the coating method, the impregnation method, the absorption method, the kneading method, etc., using its acetone solution, etc. Thereby, the objective insect pest-controlling material capable of remarkably effectively sterilizing insect pests harmful to agricultural crops, e.g. Trialeurodes vaporariorum, Parnara guttata and Zeugodacus cucurbitae and having an effect on reduction of the density of insect pests can be obtained. |
