Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the parallel transmission optical module with a small size at a low cost in which the transmission performance of optical communication is not deteriorated even when number of channels is increased. CONSTITUTION:In the parallel communication transmission optical module comprising a light receiving element 1, a preamplifier IC2 amplifying an electric signal from the light receiving element 1 and a hybrid IC3 processing the electric signal amplified by the preamplifier IC2 for the optical communication signal, two of the preamplifier ICs 2 or over are embedded in a preamplifier carrier 4, the preamplifier carriers are arranged in the lateral direction by a required channel number, and a chip 6 for the light receiving element with the light receiving element 1 fitted thereto is fitted to the preamplifier carrier.
