Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a stamping forming material at low cost with good properties such as heat-resistance, mechanical strength and the like by the use of PET resin. CONSTITUTION:A PET sheet is manufactured in such a manner that, as polyester resin, polyethyleneterephthalate resin is employed which is 50-100-wt.% in a containing rate of ready-used polyethyleneterephtahlate resin of 0.60-0.75 intrinsic viscosity, and then subjected to melt-extrusion forming. Subsequently, a laminated body consisting of the PET sheet in its uppermost surface and lowermost surface is formed by repeating an operation in which a glass chopped strand mat is left to be superimposed on the PET sheet, and then the PET sheet is placed thereon, and further a glass chopped strand mat is put thereon. After drying this, it is heat-pressed to be impregnation-integrated for forming a stamping forming material. Then, it is laid in a damp proofing bag so as to be stored therein, and after that, a flat article is manufactured by conducting stamping forming after heating the PET into melt.
