Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain an ethylene-removing agent capable of quickly removing ethylene having low concentration by using a bromine-added vinylquinoline resin produced by converting the vinylquinoline unit of a vinylquinoline resin to a free state and adding bromine to the unit. CONSTITUTION:A homopolymer of free-type 2-vinylquinoline produced by refining a 2-vinylquinoline fraction is dried at 80 deg.C in vacuum. The obtained resin is immersed in a cyclohexane solution having a prescribed bromine concentration (0.5-40%W/W) and stirred for 12hr at 25 deg.C to effect the addition of a prescribed amount of bromine to the resin. The bromine-added resin is separated by filtration, washed with cyclohexane and dried in vacuum at ordinary temperature to obtain the practically usable product. |
