Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the subject conjugate fiber easy to produce, improved in whiteness, causing no metal wear. CONSTITUTION:The objective conjugate fiber is made up of (A) an electrically conductive component consisting of an electrically conductive carbon black- contg. thermoplastic polymer, (B) a protecting component consisting of a white pigment-contg. fiber-forming thermoplastic polymer, and (C) a coating component consisting of a polyester polymer readily soluble in an aqueous alkaline solution. At least part of the component A is exposed on the surface of the component B, and the components A and B are completely coated with the component C of 0.5-15mum thickness.
