Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a profitable manufacturing method for steel wire enabling the prevention of fatigue fracture, particularly to cyclic bending and having excellent fatigue fracture resistance. CONSTITUTION:At the time of continuously casting molten steel composed of 0.4-1.0wt.% C, 0.01-1.5wt.% Si, 0.3-2.0wt.% Mn and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, preventing treatment for concentrating the components, in which the C/C0 of C content (C) at a core part in a cast billet to the C content (C0) of the molten steel in a ladle becomes <0.8, is applied and successively, by applying the wire rod rolling and the wire drawing work, the durability to the cyclic bending is imparted.
