Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the expandability for each bus and to improve the versatility and handleability by connecting the board corresponding to the second bus with a first bus through the specific bus converter. CONSTITUTION:At the back 1 of a chassis, a back plane 2 for multibus (the first bus) is formed and a connector 4 to be connected with a multibus board 3 is provided. A board 5 with the specifications for the VME bus (a second bus) is connected through a bus converter 6 having an address latch circuit, address comparator, and control means to a connector 4', and the bus converter 6 and the board 5 are connected by the connector 4. The depth (x) of the chassis has the length to be accommodated when the multibus board 3 is connected. When the depth of the VME bus board 5 is defined as (a), the depth (b) of the bus converter 6 is (x-a) in the case of being connected with the VME bus board.
