Summary: | PURPOSE:To realize a simple fuel exchange apparatus and a fuel exchange system which can exchange fuels quickly. CONSTITUTION:In a liquid-metal cooling fast reactor, wherein a unitary-body type fuel assembly is inputted and outputted through the opening part of a shielding plug, the unitary-body type fuel assembly is contained in a pot 1. The pot 1 has an inlet port 12 and a discharging port 15 for cooling liquid metal 29 at the upper part. The cooling liquid metal 29 can pass the inside of the pot 1. The pot 1 is arranged in an atomic reactor container 16. Meanwhile, a high-pressure plenum 24 having a linking pipe 26, which can connect the inlet port 12 of the pot 1 and a primary-cooling-system pipe 22, is provided in the atomic reactor container 16. The pot 1 and the primary-cooling-system pipe 22 are connected so that the pot 1 and the pipe 22 can be disconnected. A used unitary-body type fuel assembly 3 can be taken out together with the pot 1 out of the reactor 16 under the state wherein the fuel assembly 3 is submerged into the remaining cooling material in the pot 1. When a fuel pin is taken out of the reactor 16, the fuel pin is submerged into the cooling material. Thus, the standby time for attenuation of decay heat from the stop of the atomic reactor to the start of the fuel exchange can be greatly shortened. |
