Summary:PURPOSE:To alleviate energy loss of an air conditioner by displaying a warm heat state in a room due to an operation of the conditioner in a format to notify a user of a room temperature at a present time and an abrupt room temperature change at a glance. CONSTITUTION:The display device for an air conditioner comprises a temperature sensor 100 for sensing a room temperature, a reference time generator 2 for providing a time reference, a plurality of light emitting diodes 3a-3c, and a display controller 1. The diodes 3a-3c are controlled by the controller 1, and warm heat state in a room is informed to a user. As this system, a system in which an amplitude of a room temperature change is displayed by a bright line speed by the diodes 3a-3c and its movement is informed by a repetition period, a system, in addition to the previous system, a room temperature of present time is informed by lighting of the corresponding diodes 3a-3c, or a system in which, when an amplitude of a room temperature change becomes a predetermined value or more, it is informed by flashing of the diodes 3a-3c, are used. Thus, a user can immediately visually recognize it to remove wasteful load to be applied to an air conditioner, thereby performing energy conservation.
