Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber composition giving a vulcanized product having high oil-resistance and useful as an oil-resistant belt, etc., by adding a liquid isoprene rubber modified with COOH group and an S-containing silane coupling agent to an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and a styrene-butadiene rubber. CONSTITUTION:The objective rubber composition giving a vulcanized product having high oil-resistance can be produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and/or a styrene-butadiene rubber with 3-15 pts.wt. of a carboxyl-modified liquid isoprene rubber and 1-5 pts.wt. of a sulfur- containing silane coupling agent [e.g. bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)tetrasulfide. When the composition is used as a tie rubber layer 3 of an oil-resistant belt 10, it is firmly bonded to both the cover rubber layers (NBR/SBR rubber composition) 1a, 1b and the canvas layers 2a, 2b after vulcanization.
