Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate the adjustment and to avoid occurrence of a setting change due to an external force or the like by providing a resistive element whose resistance changes with an adjustment signal to the telephone set so as to preset the resistive element not by a mechanical method. CONSTITUTION:A control section 2 receives data entered from an external operation section 1 such as a ten-key to generate an adjustment signal and gives the signal to a resistive element 4 to change its resistance. As a result, a prescribed output signal from an electric circuit section 7 is changed and it is sent to a next-stage electric circuit 9. When the output signal changed by the resistive element 4 reaches a desired level, the control section 2 writes data being an adjustment signal optimizing an output signal into a storage section 6, in which data are stored and then the preset operation is finished. Then the control section 2 reads periodically or as required the content of the storage section 6 and gives the result to the resistive element 4 for the fine-adjustment. Thus, an output 8 from the electric circuit section 7 is always set to a state in the optimum adjustment.
