Summary:PURPOSE:To make a ground work of steel by a method wherein a steel material is disposed into an excavated unit ditch, the steel materials are abutted mutually in the mutual connection of the adjacent unit ditches, concrete is placed and a continuous underground wall is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:A continuous underground wall made of steel is constituted in such a manner that a preceding steel material 1 and a succeeding steel material 1' shorter than lapping sections are arranged into an excavated preceding unit 2 and an adjacent succeeding unit ditch 2' respectively, an in- plane joint section 4, to which studs 5 and reinforcing bars are disposed, is formed into a surface, on which these two steel materials 1 and 1' are abutted, and concrete 3 is placed. Accordingly, the studs 5 annexed at the end sections of the steel materials 1, 1' are buried in concrete 3 together with the reinforcing bars 7, thus allowing the transmission of shearing force in the preceding unit steel material 1 and the succeeding unit steel material 1', then manufacturing a series of an underground wall, in which the unit ditches 2, 2' are mutually connected firmly.
