Summary:PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the laminated steel sheet having striped org. films of multilayer structures in the specific positions on the surfaces of the steel sheet for the purpose of the fundamental rationalization of coating and printing stages for 3-pieces cans. CONSTITUTION:Thermosetting type org. coating materials are continuously applied in a stripe shape at the width corresponding to the diameter of the cans on both surfaces of the continuously supplied steel sheet in the positional relations nearly corresponding to the front and rear in the form of allowing 1 to 10mm non-coated parts to remain. After the coatings are heated and dried, the multilayer structure films previously printed with trademark designs are continuously laminated in the stripe shape on the surfaces coated with the thermosetting type org. coating materials within the same line. This operation is continuously carried out in the high-speed coil coating line. The small blanks (rectangular steel sheets of the size corresponding to one can) having the non- coated parts at both ends are cut out of the resulted steel sheet and are used for production of the welded cans.
