Summary:PURPOSE:To miniaturize a microprocessor which contains both executing functions of a large scale program and a program having the high real-time responsiveness by carrying out simultaneously the different types of programs with a single processor. CONSTITUTION:The programmable control circuits 2, 3, 5 and 6 are provided to carry out a microprogram related to a microinstruction to a single microinstruction memory 7 and use in time division a microprogram which is closed and carried out with the microinstruction only. Then one of plural microaddress registers 2 is assigned to the processing of a macroprogram with other registers assigned to the processing of the microprograms that are carried out independently of the macroprogram. Then a time-division control circuit 6 carries out alternately the processing related to the address registers 2-1-2-4 through the multiplexers 4 and 5 and a selector 3. Thus the macroprogram and the microprograms can be carried out substantially at one time.
