Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber-covered electric wire of a uniform quality by extrusion-covering a core wire for electric wire with an unvulcanized rubber, applying the extrusion-covering of a heatproof resin thereover, and after solidifying the resin coverage, heating the conductor of the core wire by a high-frequency heating device so as to vulcanize the rubber coverage by the heat transmitted from the conductor. CONSTITUTION:A rubber extruding machine 2 covers a core wire 2 evenly by delivering rubber to a dice to pass the core wire 2. When the periphery of the core wire covered with the rubber and the resin is solidified in a water tank, it is held by a caterpillar and pulled out. A vulcanizing line 7 heats mainly a conductor C in the core wire 2 by a high-frequency heating device. The conductor reaches the rubber vulcanizing temperature of about 160 to 200 deg.C, and the heat is transmitted to the rubber coverage to vulcanize the rubber. The resin coverage is removed by a resin removing device 8, and the resin 8a divided into two parts is exhausted. A receiving machine 9 pulls the electric wire E covered with the rubber, and a winder 11 winds the wire E on its drum 10.
