Summary:PURPOSE:To shorten the period of construction by making the excavation work of pit easier by a method in which steel-skeleton struts are penetrate into the ground, a pit is excavated to a given depth, steel-skeleton beams are supported on the struts, a slab is formed, and the pit is further excavated to construct underground body, e.g., columns, etc. CONSTITUTION:While excavating a pit for burying struts in the ground 1 by an excavator, steel-skeleton strut 2 of H-steel is driven into the pit by a monken, and the pit is further excavated to a given depth under the ground 1. A steel- skeleton beam 8 of H-steel is placed on the strut 2, a deck plate 4a is laid on the beam 3, and a slab 4 is formed on them. The ground 1 below the slab 4 is further excavated, the side is sloped, anchor bolts 6 are attached to the lower flanges of the beam 3 and hung down, and an underground body, e.g., column 5, etc., is formed. Since the column formwork and column reinforcing bars are not projected downwards to the excavated space below the slab 4 during the excavating operation, the period of construction can be shortened.
