Summary:PURPOSE:To take a necessary countermeasure on a control center side by accessing the control center when abnormality occurs in a connection state with a copying machine and transmitting data concerning the abnormal connection. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine 4, a DT (data terminal) 1, a modem 52 functioning also as a communication terminal device and a telephone set 53 being a communication device are set on a user side. The data terminal 1 is a device which fetches various kinds of information from the copying machine 4, executes specified processing and transmits the information to a computer 90 on the center side. When it is disconnected from the copying machine 4, the access to the control center is commanded. When it is connected to the control center, the data concerning the abnormal connection with the copying machine 4 is transmitted to the control center side. Thus, the necessary countermeasure is taken on the control center side.
