Summary:PURPOSE:To easily adjust arrangement of the flow direction of flowing fine particulate material, laser and a beam detector group, by forming a flow cell from cell from a lens having condensing action. CONSTITUTION:Laser beam A from laser 1 passes a lens 2 and a hole 15 and irradiates the flowing fine particulate material 4 contained in the fine particulate material floating solution B flowing through the pipe 13 engaged with the central part of a flow cell 12 while scattered beam among scattered beams therefrom emitted at an angle within a predetermined angle to a flat surface containing laser beam A vertical to the pipe 13 is condensed to the incident surface of each light guide 17 by the condensing action of the flow cell 12 and incident on a beam detector 16. Herein, the scattered beam is converted to an electric signal to be outputted to a signal processing circuit 18. The electric signal obtained by a beam detector group 14 is entirely sent to the signal processing circuit 18 where analysis is performed.
