Summary:PURPOSE:To keep an unshaped refractory which is filled in a recessed hole (hole left after removing pattern) from falling by providing an easily breakable block of cone shape which shrinks its diameter towards a pattern frame round the outer circumference of a pattern frame holding member. CONSTITUTION:On the outer circumference of a cone 4 which is connected to a rod 3 by a screwed joint an easily breakable block 12 is provided. This easily breakable block 12 is shaped in an inverted cone shape which shrinks its diameter towards a pattern frame 5. An unshaped refractory 8 is installed between the pattern frame 5 and an outer plate 1, and after this unshaped refractory has hardened, the nuts 6, pattern frame 5 and cone 4 are removed. Further, when the easily breakable block 12 is removed, a recessed hole 13 which is shaped as an inverted cone with the inlet side squeezed is formed. With this arrangement the unshaped refractory which fills the recessed hole 13 does not fall off. As a material for breakable blocks a foamed plastics such as foamed styrol is suitable.
