Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a composite antitumor preparation composed of a uracil- containing composition soluble in stomach and a tegafur-containing composition soluble in intestine, capable of keeping high blood concentration of 5-fluorouracil produced as active metabolite and having decreased side actions. CONSTITUTION:The objective preparation is produced by combining (A) a composition soluble in stomach and containing 20-90wt.% (especially 40-85wt.%) of uracil, preferably a granule prepared by compounding crystalline cellulose to the above composition with (B) a composition soluble in intestine and containing 10-70wt.% (preferably 30-65wt.%) of tegafur. The amount of uracil is 0.02-10mol, preferably 0.1-10mol per 1mol of tegafur. The amount of tegafur in the composite preparation is preferably 50-250mg per unit dose.
