Summary:PURPOSE:To manufacture a Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheet excelling in powdering resistance by using a plating bath containing a specified quantity of a compound having chlorides of Zn, Ni and K as main components and plural complex forming conformations. CONSTITUTION:A compound having chlorides of Zn, Ni and K as main components and >=2 conformations forming a complex with a plating metal atom is included by 0.5 to 100gr/l to get a Zn-Ni alloy plating bath. A steel plate is plated by using the plating bath. At that time, a bath pH of 3.5 to 5, a bath temp. of 40 to 70 deg.C, a current density of 2 to 150A/dm , and a relative velocity of 0.5 to 5m/sec between the plating liquid and a strip are desirable. And it is proper that the plating is performed using a radial type cell, and at that time, it is desirable that the plating liquid of the above composition or a liquid which it is diluted to 1/1 to 1/10 to form is sprayed on the plating surface side of the steel sheet just before entering the plating cell. Thereby a Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheet having a plating layer with good adhesion and without peeling at the time of press-forming.
