Summary:PURPOSE:To shorten a time required for display by storing analog picture information as subinformation corresponding to digital picture information as main information stored in a data base, and performing an access to the subinformation side at the time of the temporary display. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit 11 displays the digital picture information from a data base 12 at a monitor 13, according to an input from a control edge 15. This device is equipped with an analog disk media 21 which stores the analog picture information as the subinformation corresponding to the digital picture information, and an analog picture information writing and reading device 22. A control program 19 stores the digital picture information taken out from the data base 12 through a D/A conversion circuit 24 in the media 21 as the analog picture information. When the digital picture information of the data base 12 is temporarily displayed at a monitor 13, the media 21 is performed an access of, and the subinformation is displayed through an A/D conversion circuit 25 at the monitor 13. Thus, the time required for the display can be shortened.
