Summary:PURPOSE:To detect discharge inside an apparatus without being influenced by the temperature of surrounding atmosphere by detecting change of electric resistance using a sensitive body which changes remarkably its electric resistance to free electrons generated when discharge happens inside the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When discharge happens inside an apparatus, a gas inside it is discomposed, free electrons are generated accompanying with decomposed substances. These electrons react with metallic ions of a sensitive body 14, the metal is deposited on a surface of inductor 14. Then, the sensitive body 14 is partially bridged and the electric resistance becomes smaller. The electric resistance of sensitive body 14 has nothing to do with surrounding temperature and changes remarkably corresponding to the amount of deposition of the metal. By detecting the change of this electric resistance by means of a detection part 15, whether or not there is discharge and its scale is detected. If a thickness of inductor 14 is formed thin as a film, it responds sensitively to the free electrons and detects very small inside discharge. The amount of the metal deposited on the surface of sensitive body 14 is made sure by a detecting element 10, and the scale of the inside discharge is known more surely.
