A word frequency dictionary 7 holds reading of the word and frequency. A word dictionary retrieving part 6 retrieves the word dictionary 10. A word dictionary retrieving part 4 retrieves the attached word dictionary 8 and the word frequency dictionary 7. A KANA/KANJI converting part 2 determines the priority of a clause candidata by frequency information of the word retrieved by the word dictionary retrieving part 4 at the time converting a reading train of Japanese language to the corresponding KANJI and KANA mixed string.
