Summary:PURPOSE:To highly efficiently pickle a hot-rolled steel sheet utilizing cavitation by injecting a laminar high-pressure pickling soln. on the entire region of the steel sheet in its cross direction and impressing a continuous ultrasonic wave with the pickling soln. as a medium. CONSTITUTION:A laminar high-pressure pickling soln. is injected on the surface of a hot-rolled steel sheet 1 introduced into a pickling device 13 at a specified angle. The content of the laminar high-pressure pickling soln. column 12a is transmitted, and a focused ultrasonic wave 8 of 20-100kHz frequency is impressed on the sheet 1 surface. The sheet is efficiently pickled by the impact force and chemical action of the high-pressure pickling soln. and the chemical reaction accelerating action and impact force of cavitation. A plate wave is generated by the injected strong ultrasonic wave in the forward and backward rolling directions of the sheet 1. A boundary layer between the sheet 1 surface and the pickling soln. supplied by the soln. column 12a is broken by the plate wave, and pickling is accelerated.
