Summary:PURPOSE:To provide an engine cooling rotary body control device which can control a rotary body reliably in rotation according to an operational condition of an engine while restricting output loss of the engine as low as possible in a device to drive a rotary body such as a fan by means of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In a gear type variable rotation mechanism 4 to vary velocity ratio of input rotational speed and output rotational speed, there are provided input units 41 and 42 to which engine output is inputted, a rotary body driving unit 43 to drive and rotate a rotary body 3 by receiving the input and velocity ratio setting units 42 and 41 to set velocity ratio of the input units 41 and 42 and the rotary body driving unit 43 by controlling rotational speed of itself. Furthermore, there are provided fluid type variable control means 5 and 6 to control rotational speed of the velocity ratio setting units 42 and 41 variably, and particularly, the fluid type variable control means 5 and 6 are constituted of an oil pump or a viscous fluid clutch.
