Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of wrinkles on a recording sheet which is adsorbed to a dielectric sheet by making an electrostatic inducing force which is applied to the trail end part of the recording sheet less strong than the force which is applied to the leading end part of the recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:A controlling means 6 is installed between an adsorption corotron 2 and a D/C power supply 21. A current value flowing into the corotron 2 is attenuated by the controlling means 6 at a prescribed timing, or the current is cut-off by the controlling means 6. The prescribed timing is obtained after the leading end of the recording sheet 5 is made to abut on the dielectric sheet 1 and before the trail end of it is made to abut on the sheet 1. The recording sheet 5 is surely adsorbed to the dielectric sheet 1 within the extent only from the leading end of the recording sheet to a prescribed area in such a way, and the recording sheet 5 is not adsorbed to the dielectric sheet 1 within the extent from the area to the trail end, or the sheet 5 is adsorbed to the sheet 1 with some degrees of freedom. Thus, the recording sheet 5 is pressed and extruded by a deflector roll 3 from the leading end to the trail end, and then, the sheet 5 is brought into tight contact with the dielectric sheet 1.
