Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the overall thermal efficiency and always operate the system poperly even if a heat discharge energy amount fluctuates. CONSTITUTION:Heat exchange is carried out between engine 3 exhaust gas and cooling water by means of an exhaust gas cooler 13 and an exhaust gas heat exchanger 15, and in the case of heat discharge energy becoming insufficient, a heater 31 is commonly used. When there is no need of feeding cooling water to a suction type freezer 5, cooling water is bypassed, and in the case of return passage 24 cooling water temperature being higher than a predetermined value, surplus energy is given to an outside thermal load device 49, and in the case of the cooling water temperature being still high, return to the engine is conducted by performing heat radiation by means of a radiator 40. Accordingly, the utilization rate of heat discharge energy is high, and the suction type freezer can be operated even when heat discharge energy is little, and there is no hindrance to engine cooling, and a co-generation system can properly be applied and at the same time the overall heat efficiency of the system is improved.
