Summary:PURPOSE:To insert stoppers into tubular containers automatically and successively without requiring manual operation. CONSTITUTION:A stopper C and a tubular container S are supplied with a press fitting end c1 and an end opening s1 in opposed relation through a stopper chute 8 and a tube chute 10 and then via an entrance seal turret 3 and a first intermediate wheel 4 to a center turret 5. By the rotation of this center turret 5, the tubular container S is forced toward the stopper C via a push pin in slidable contact with a bell cam 27 fixed to a housing 2, so that the press fitting end c1 of the stopper C is fitted into the end opening s1 of the tubular container S. The tubular container S thus stoppered is sent via a second intermediate wheel 6 and an exit seal turret 7 to a take-away conveyor 28.
