PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet transfer path and a sheet double face printing device for printing on both sides of a sheet by providing a transfer path for reversing the front side to the rear of the sheet at the rear of a printing mechanism, in a sheet printing device in which the sheet passes through the transfer path and into the printing device for printing. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a first transfer path 5 comprising a printing mechanism, in which a printing head 1, a platen 2, and an ink ribbon 3 are incorporated, and a sensor 4 for confirming the top and rear ends of a sheet and a second transfer path 6 comprising a switchover valve 7 for reversing the sheet from the front side to the rear and a drive part 8. The sheet is printed by the printing mechanism, fed to the first transfer path 5, and its top end is confirmed by the sensor 4. Then the switchover valve 7 is raised upward to feed the sheet to the second transfer path 6. Also, when the sensor 4 confirms the rear end of the sheet, the switchover valve 7 lowers down to reverse the sheet from the front side to the rear after the sheet runs one round by the drive part 8 comprising a drive pulley 9a, a pulley 9b, and a belt 10. Then it passes through the first transfer path 5 and into the printing mechanism, and printing is made on its rear surface.
