Summary:PURPOSE:To detect the existence of a tab terminal or the abnormality of a two tabs, a inverse tab, an erect tab, etc. CONSTITUTION:When positioning a tab terminal 1 by pressing the plate part 1b of the terminal 1 with the first presser 6b on a positioning base, the thickness of the terminal is detected by a magnetic metallic piece 22 and a magnetic proximity switch 23 so as to eliminate two pieces of tabs or an erect tab. Moreover, when pressing the lead wire 1c in the axial direction by the second presser 7, the bend of the lead wire can also be detected by detecting, with a photosensor, the existence of the lead wire in both conditions at the time of being pressed and at the time of being not pressed.
