Summary:PURPOSE:To make the device compact and lightweight by separating the liq. reactant and gaseous product or the gaseous reactant and liq. product in the process of reaction. CONSTITUTION:An ion exchange resin-liq. permeable fiber composite membrane 3 is provided between gas diffusion electrodes 4, the liq. is supplied to and discharged from the membrane 3, and the gas is supplied to and discharged from the back of the electrode 4. Consequently, gas and liq. are separated, the supply of the liq. can be adjusted, and a high-efficiency and compact device is realized. Meanwhile, a hollow fiber is used as the liq. peremeable fiber 2 to increase the amt. of the liq. to be permeated, the electrode 4 is combined with the membrane to separate the reactant and product more surely, and the performance is further improved.
