Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain adenosine in an industrial level by culturing a specific microorganism belonging to genus Bacillus. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism belonging to genus Bacillus, having isoleucine- demand characteristics, histidine-demand characteristics and arginine-demand characteristics, and adenosine-producibility [e.g. Bacillus subtilis AJ 12519 (FERM P-11474)] is subjected to shaking cultivation at 34 deg.C for 20hr, thus adenosine is produced and accumulated in the culturing solution, then resultant adenosine is collected.
