PURPOSE:To efficiently set a simulation condition by specifying the position of a simulation object based on an input/output map or a step flow map. CONSTITUTION:A ladder program, a block flow map, or a step flow map is displayed on a CRT device 58, and an operator recognizes the position, which is designated by depression of a touch panel 57, as the operation step or the operation block of the simulation object. That is, the simulation object is searched in the block flow map or the step flow map based on the coordinate position detected by the touch panel 57. The nominal time of the retrieved operation block or operation step is displayed on the CRT 58. The operator sees this display time to indicate which degree the time should be changed in, and this changed time is inputted in the next step, and a simulation program is generated based on this new time and is executed in the next step.
