Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an optical current sensor reduced in the number of components and not requiring a rod lens, a ferrule and a ferrule holder because an optical path is formed only of an optical waveguide and also becoming unnecessary in the axial adjustment of an optical system by reflecting light from the reflecting surface provided to the optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION:A current sensor is equipped with an optical waveguide 17 on the incident side, an optical waveguide 18 on the emission side, the polarizer 25 arranged at the position connecting the end parts of both optical wavegudes 17, 18, a magnetic optical crystal 26 and an analyser 27. A reflecting surface 23 reflecting light in an incident direction toward the polarizer 25 is provided to the optical waveguide 17 on the incidence side and a reflecting surface 24 reflecting the light from the analyser 27 in an emitting direction is provided to the optical waveguide 18 on the emission side.
