PURPOSE:To detect the leakage of gas from a gas flow passage in the early stage by a simple means. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate of gas is monitored by a gas meter 5, and a flow rate signal transmitter 10 transmits a flow rate signal. A leakage tone of gas is detected by a leakage tone detecting sensor 4. Signals from a gas alarm and a CO sensor are converted to acoustic wave signals by an alarm signal converter and are transmitted in the gas flow passage and are detected by an alarm acoustic wave signal detecting sensor 7. The leakage tone detecting sensor 4 and the alarm acoustic wave signal detecting sensor 7 are connected to a leakage signal transmitter 8, and this transmitter 8 transmits a leakage signal. In a microcomputer 9, the received leakage signal and a reference leakage signal stored in a reference leakage signal storage means 19 are compared with each other by a leakage discriminating means 20 to discriminate the normal use of gas, detection of the leakage of gas, detection of CO or combustion blue gas, or detection of the gas leakage tone, thereby not only transmitting a leakage occurrence signal but also estimating the extent of leakage.
