PURPOSE:To automatically form a blank array drawing capable of maximizing yield. CONSTITUTION:A blank drawing 5-1 is formed by applying the offset of bar width (sending bar data) Sa to an original blank drawing. The drawing 5-1 is rotated around a reference point (Xk, Yk) twice in each reference point (Xk, Yk) to determine a blank angle as alphai. In each rotation, intersecting points x1, x2 between a line y=a+i which is parallel to X axis and the blank 5-1 with the offset, an array pitch Pi maximizing a difference between both the intersecting points x1, x2 is obtained, material width Wi is calculated, and Wi x Pi (the area of a material used in each product) is calculated. After rotating the drawing 5-1 0 to 180 deg., the operation is ended and a blank angle (alpha0 corresponding to the minimum WiXPi (W0XP0) is obtained. The original blank drawing is arrayed by using the W0, P0 and alpha0 respectively as the material width, the array pitch and the array angle.
