Summary:PURPOSE:To measure concentration of the vapor gas and/or volume flow rate of the vapor air-fuel mixture including the real fuel vapor gas, which is vaporized from a fuel tank to be supplied to an engine intake system, accurately, and control air/fuel ratio accurately on the basis of a result of these measurement. CONSTITUTION:Multiple flowmeters 19, 171, 22, of which output characteristic is different in response to a change of concentration of the fuel vapor gas in the air-fuel mixture, are provided in series or in parallel to/with a purge pipe 17, and a detecting means for detecting at least any one of concentration of the fuel vapor gas in the air-fuel mixture or volume flow rate of the air-fuel mixture on the basis of the output of the described multiple flowmeters is provided. A vapor gas weight computing means for computing weight of the fuel vapor gas on the basis of a result of the detection by the detecting means and a correcting means for correcting air/fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture on the basis of a ratio of the computed weight and the fuel injection quantity are provided.
