Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the message receiver so as not to require large memory capacity for storing received messages. CONSTITUTION:A reception part 1 is provided to receive message code encoded for the unit of a syllable or for the unit of a significant syllable set, and a voice synthesizing part 9 is provided to store voice signals for each syllable or syllable set corresponding to the codes and to synthesize the voice signals corresponding to the messages by successively outputting the voice signals according to the respective codes of the message codes. Therefore, the message receiver can be obtained to considerably reduce the memory capacity of a storage part 3 for storing messages by storing the received messages as the message codes.
